As the end of my college career comes to a close and the door of opportunities is waiting to open, I am still trying to decide where I should start my new beginning. I love Orlando but as a Floridian, I am ready for a change. Let me list the pros of staying and leaving:
Staying in Orlando:
-I know the area really well
-Since I am interning at a hospital, I have a higher chance of getting a job there
-I will be low on funds post grad school and it will give me an opportunity to save
-I am familiar with the resources here and as a social worker that is much-o important!
-I will remain closer to my parents who are an hour and a half away
-I will be able to get more experience which will help me get jobs in the future.
Below is a sky view of Lake Eola. If I did stay in Orlando I would want to live near here or Thornton Park
Leaving Orlando and moving a little North:
-Fresh start
-I don't have anything holding me down (children, loans, etc.)
-Living is less expensive
-I will have endless recreational activities
-I don't have much to move right now
I have been waiting to leave Florida and here is my chance!
Places I am interested in: Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee
(I wish Cali or New York was an option!)
Above, is a picture of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Ideally when I move, I would like to live near here to go hiking and enjoy the beauty!
That is the predicament I am in right now. I guess if that is the only thing I have to worry about right now, than I am in a good place!
Till Then-
